Once again the year is drawing to a close and Christmas is upon us. We have had another busy year on many fronts and I would like to thank all club members and the committee who have contributed to our events and functions for the past year.
Following are short reports on some of the 2005 events and achievements:

Renovations and updates to the clubrooms are almost complete thanks to the efforts of Garry DeWildt. We have a secure entrance, a dais for meetings, new display and honour board area as well as kitchen upgrade and relocating the television.

A new fridge has been installed with proceeds from the Wonthaggi canteen thanks to the ongoing efforts of Heather and Tony Lee. Clubrooms catering funds have purchased a coffee machine as well as the portable trailer with a BBQ and a large esky attached with a spot for the club quick shade and a bike.

A huge thanks to Cory Murdoch for his expertise and time to develop a new club webpage. If you haven’t checked it out yet go to www.dmcc.com.au and have a look.

The webpage and Barry Deal’s emails keep all members a mouse click away from the latest goings on at our club. Barry does an excellent job in constantly keeping us up to date with all club news and he is an invaluable club member.

The proposed purchase is an ongoing trial of red tape and bureaucracy but we will continue to plug on and hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel will appear soon.

If you have attended a recent club practice day you will have noticed a few changes to the track where a considerable amount of work has been done.

Earlier in the year the watering system was upgraded along with PA and flood lighting improvements and upgrades.

Events 2005
This year we ran the first round of the Australian Motocross Championships in March and we thank all members who helped out at the event.
The other major event for the year was the two day enduro/rally run at Erica in late April with support from the Warragul MCC, these events were rounds three and four of the Yamaha Victorian Off Road Championships. Running enduros is a time consuming and logistically difficult undertaking and thanks go to Glenn Capuano and Darren Pay for their considerable efforts to bring the enduro and rally to life. All members involved should be proud that our event was judged the best of the 12 round series in an award presented at the Series Award Night in October.

Some of our members also ran the first ever Junior Enduro in Victoria at Erica jointly with the Kooweerup & District MCC.
