This is a quick wrap-up from the weekend at Wonthaggi.
Firstly I would like to thank the weather gods for giving us such a fantastic day on Sunday, it really allowed us to present a fantastic track and enabled us to park 1000 odd cars.
The infrastructure we have invested in over the last few years worked flawlessly allowing the trucks and riders to gain entry to the pits and camping areas without any problems.
The new toilet block was popular and our workers enjoyed the spoils of the renovated Grog-Inn.
A massive thanks must go to all of the Dandenong members who helped in the lead up and over the weekend.
You have shown what being a member of a club is all about, we had over 80 helpers over the weekend with most staying around for a few drinks and a fantastic meal on Saturday night.
It really was great to see so many people enjoying the area in and around the grog-inn once again.
It was also a pleasure to work with the very professional team at W.E.M.
A massive thanks must go to Paul Bray for assisting me with the workers list, to Steve Collimore and Bear for feeding the workers and cooking that beautiful meal on Saturday night, to Darren Pay and Karl Edwards for prepping the track and painting the tires,
to Haydon, Jamie and Paul for being the section leaders, to Yappa , Frank and helpers for running the bar and food on the hill, to Heather and her wonderful bunch of helpers for feeding the masses from the canteen and to all of the flag marshals and lap scorers for all of your hard work.
And a special thanks to everyone that stayed around to help clean up the rubbish.
Of course a big thanks to Bob and Nola for the preparation and clean-up.
It really was a fantastic event and one the club should be extremely proud of.
