The club junior coaching day for Victorian Off-Road Series riders at Erica was a great day with 10 riders participating. The riders age ranged from 9 to 15yrs, on bikes from 65cc through to 250F with all riders having reasonable to good skill levels.

The kids learned off-road skills such as off camber corners with ruts, roots and bumps, high speed braking and going around off camber smooth turns, rutted uphill turns, bike setup and to top off the day a couple of short trail rides on some technical single track.

All the kids picked up valuable skills and will be able to put them to good use at the first round of the Vic Off-Road Series at Erica in April.

Many thanks to the coaches, Vic Off-Road pro riders Blake Hore and Mal Watson, Vic Off-Road masters riders Andrew Cornthwaite and Bryan Noble and help from Tony Defazio.

Thanks also to the parent helpers for assisting with the skill activities.

Photos show Mal explaining the skill and Blake demonstrating the skill and some of the riders practicing the skills.
