After 40mm of rain on the Thursday and Friday prior the event went ahead as a sprint on a much reduced course. The club should have probably postponed this event as the conditions were very wet but the off-road team did a great job of putting a track together that sort of held out for the day.

As a result the day was a bit shorter than we would have liked and it would have been easier to cancel the day but the off-road team forged ahead and did their best to at least get a ride in. Most riders got in 35+mins and a sighting lap which is still more riding than you would get at most MX days.

The club will need to get back to this property when it dries out and make some repairs to the couple of places that didn’t hold up so well.

Big thanks to all the riders who helped get the track down at the end of the day.

The next round is scheduled for Erica on Sunday 9th Sept which will be an Enduro format.

Erica ORCC enduro will be something different for many, with about a 4hr "trail" ride and a couple of timed special tests. The event will be just like a normal enduro with controls, time cards and 3 riders a minute.

As the club also has the Vic off-road junior enduro on the weekend after the club is looking for members to help out on Saturday 15th September with control, special test officials and sweep riders required.

We also need some experienced enduro riders to help the juniors at the controls with their time cards.

If you can help out please let Bryan Noble know by e-mail at bryan.noble@woodgroup.com

To be eligible for points for the year, you must attend one working bee to help with the round preparation for the race and must have ridden at 4 rounds. So thank you to all the people that have helped so far and looking forward to hearing from all the others. If you have already don’t a working bee you are most welcome back to another working bee as most new members find this is the best way to meet other members and become involved in the club. It is also a great opportunity to get in some riding with better riders to improve riding skills and technique.

Series results are attached, the riders are the best checkers so please have a good look and advise any comments or complaints by e-mail arbernhard@bigpond.com and we will try to sort it out.

There has been much class swapping due to people entering the incorrect class when entering and some people upgraded from the class they entered.

If you have worked and there is no ”W” against your name then let us know.

DMCC is setting up and running the Final Moto, at the Australian 4 Day Enduro held down near Warragul, help would be appreciated to set up the track on Friday the 26th of October and work to help flag and fix up bunting on Saturday the 27th of October.

This will be a great event to get up close with Australia's best riders and riders from overseas.

Also anyone from DMCC that is competing in this year's A4DE, we are trying to organize helpers to get your fuel and supplies out to the fuel dumps, so we are also after people that have any or all of the days  off during the endure to give us a hand

Any one that can help out or is riding and would like a hand, please contact Nathan Allen 0419 334 510 or nathana@stmduraduct.com
